Went here twice as of now, just to validate my first visit and to see how they fare during different times (busy and non-busy hours), and fortunately everything is consistent as I'd hoped. After years (I only come 1-2x a year) of looking and asking and tasting around, I finally found another reason to love this town (not that I need any).. The place is well-aired, (acceptably) cool, and clean. They open till 4:30pm everyday of the week, and a month off annually (I forgot when). And yes, both owners (husband and wife) are original Sabahans. They don't claim to sell 'ngiu chap' but instead; Sabahan taste beef noodle. It's a smart move but even if they do, they aren't wrong. They definitely taste like the real thing like the good ones back in KK, Sabah (few places scattered around town here and there). Not bakso, not soto, not mihun sup tulang/rusuk/daging or whatsoever bovine name one can think up of. The amount of herbs and spices inside is just nice, nothing too overpowering, but nothing short of either. Soup is clear instead of cloudy/murky, means they clean the meat and bones well (doing much cooking myself, I believe so). In your bowl, you'll find soup, noodles and topping. Nothing more. No fancy purposeless garments, no floating spices that spoils your experience when you bite in, nothing. The chili sauce dipping provided is like what you'd expect (look in picture); not sambal, chili kicap, or whatever. The taste is rich but not too (msg) flavorful, but not thin/diluted either. The meat (slices) are slightly pink, means not too well done. In fact, they were tender with a very slight bit of chewy texture, done just right. They had all the components completed except the omasum (meat slices, meat balls, tripe, tendon etc). Perhaps due to location/supplier, their beef balls are of different type. In Sabah, most are like 'fishball'; rubbery texture with a slight bite needed. Here, theirs are more like one chew and it's all the way through. Taste-wise, it's not as 'beefy', but maybe some prefer it that way. Noodle comes in many options, from yellow to kueyteow to mihun and something else (I forgot). Similarly, they also offer standard issue mihun soup style, konlau/dry, soto(?) and even curry(???). Why? I have no idea. But twice I took the mihun, and twice I'm impressed. Instead of most places using that typical wire thin mihun, these guys stick to the 'dongguan' mihun (slightly thicker with diff texture). And they soaked it in the soup adequately long enough so you won't taste mihun flavor and soup flavor. Instead, you get a perfectly soup infused mihun. Amount of toppings? For the 'smallest' size, you will see a nice amount of it on top. As for the 'largest' size, you won't even see your noodle. These guys, they are anything but stingy. Unless you're Joey Chestnut, you won't leave that place hungry. If you guys there in the shop are reading this, keep up the great work! And yes, we'll be seeing each other more often whenever I'm in Miri. Cheers!

Very nice beef noodle which is similar to KK style. I think the best in Miri. Price also affordable. RM12 per bowl. Do try their soto beef noodle too. I have been here for more than 5 times. Everytime I miss KK's Ngiu Chap, I will come here to eat. Hopefully they can continue to serve us for a long time.
